I used Poochini for the 1st time a few weeks ago and my dog loved it! He didn't want to come home with me. You can tell from the moment you walk in that this place has great dog energy. The 2 women that run it are so nice and are were very concerned about my dogs well being.

My Vet recommended Poochini, so I gave it a try for my Lab that needed to be boarded for a business trip I had to make. I was very impressed with how the facility is more like a house than cage after cage like most boarding places. The workers strive to create a stress free environment in a stressful situation for most pets and owners. I was very impressed and will definitely use Poochini again.

My cat is an epileptic and has to take medications at certain times. I called Poochini and they informed that both of the owners (who run the place) are Emergency Vet Tech's with over 20 years of experience. It is very difficult to find a boarding facility that can handle a pet like my cat. I am so happy I found Poochini and will be using them every time I need to board. Daniela Sehic

Daniela has been working in the animal welfare field for the past 13 years. For the last 8 years she has been a Veterinary Technician for emergency animal hospitals. Prior to that, Daniela worked as a Veterinary Technician for a day practice, Kennel Assistant, and a Certified Dog Obedience Trainer. In addition, Daniela also serves as Volunteer for East Bay Animal Rescue and Refuge as their Treasurer and Director of Animal Care.

Daniela has 4 dogs and 7 cats of her own and they all live harmoniously together. In her free time, Daniela enjoys taking classes that further her knowledge, traveling, watching old movies, day hikes, relaxing at the beach and almost anything that involves spending time with her dogs and cats.

With Daniela's extensive background and knowledge, you can rest assured that your family pet will be well taken care of and in capable hands.

Chanda Kuhns

Chanda is a veterinary technician, with nearly 15 years of experience gained at general practice, emergency, and daycare settings across the country. While the names of the cities may have changed, her dedication to the care of animals has never wavered.

Chanda's commitment to the welfare of animals started early, and grew into a rewarding career in the veterinary field. She began her work while at school at University of California - Santa Cruz studying biology, and working at one of the local clinics. From there, her travels have taken her across the country, down, and back across again to California, but she has always stayed in the veterinary field. Chanda has always been passionate about every facet of animal care, and has volunteered with several rescue organizations as well. Chanda was born in Hawaii, and raised in the East Bay. In her time away from Poochini's, she likes to take her own pack on hikes and adventures in, and around, the bay area.

Having worked at trauma centers, as well as family run clinics, both Chanda's and Daniela's backgrounds as vet techs allow Poochini's to offer highly skilled, compassionate care to all of our boarding friends.
